Dan Honz


Dan is a Patent Attorney whose practice focuses exclusively in the area of intellectual property, with specialization in patent prosecution.  Dan employs diverse strategies during prosecution, tailored to the goals of his individual clients.  One such strategy includes appeals to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), where Dan has successfully argued before Administrative Patent Judges of the PTAB, both during Oral Hearing proceedings and on written Brief.

At Advent, Dan assists clients with management, procurement, and prosecution of intellectual property matters for a diverse range of technologies.  With a background in chemical engineering, Dan particularly devotes much of his practice to medical devices, materials delivery, materials sciences, industrial systems, quantitative chemical analysis systems, food sciences, and biological & biochemical systems.  Prior to the practice of law, Dan developed technical expertise with a global pharmaceutical and animal health company and with a global food processing company.  Dan is currently assisting a range of clients from independent individuals and businesses to one of the largest patent filers in the United States.
