Advent’s Anniversary: Twelve years of creativity as the core of our DNA

This month we’re proud to celebrate Advent’s 12th anniversary. It’s been a special journey serving the Omaha area and other parts of the country as a mold-breaking intellectual property law firm that is determined to put client needs first. For the past twelve years, we’ve focused on reshaping the traditional law firm model to deliver personalized services that benefit clients and employees alike.

Creativity is part of the Advent DNA, and so is our commitment to excellence and quality support. We understand the tension of unpredictable billing rates and hours, and that’s why we shaped our law firm outside the traditional models by eliminating the billable hour.

Our proprietary software was developed by, partner and co-founder, Ryan Grace to provide our clients with predictability by providing our IP legal services in Omaha under several unique arrangements. Our models include project-based flat-fee, all-inclusive monthly and yearly, as well as outside-in-house counsel. Advent’s definition of value in alignment to our client’s definition of value is a key pillar of our intellectual property law firm to deliver true holistic innovation support.

Ryan Grace and Kevin West founded the firm in the summer of 2010 with a clear vision in mind, for Advent to be the beginning of something different. Many things have changed in the past twelve years, especially the intellectual property panorama, but one thing remains the same, our exceptional relationship with clients through unique partnerships and focus on strategic innovation.

Additional to Advent’s business model serving clients, the flexibility in which we operate as a law firm has been an important element to better serve our employees as well. We’re determined to maintain the freedom to grow and work at our employees’ pace and desire for career advancement.
