New Professionals Join Advent — ADVENT - Intellectual Property Law Firm

The Omaha-based intellectual property law firm has welcomed three new faces to its IP specialist roster in 2020. “During such an unpredictable time in the world, we are so excited that we were able to attract such amazing talent in Omaha – this is a true testament to our unique business model,” said Ryan Grace. “These three professionals will add depth to our intellectual property practice and help Advent grow well into the future as our business continues to grow,” said Kevin West.

Tamar Yellin, Intellectual Property Attorney

Tamar has experience practicing trademark and intellectual property law around the country, having lived and has been admitted to the Bar in California, Illinois, and Nebraska. She has a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University and a Master of Law from John Marshall Law School. Tamar moved her trademark practice to Advent after working part time with a virtual intellectual property firm for over a decade.

Daneis Barber, Intellectual Property Attorney

Daneis is joining the team as an Intellectual Property Attorney. Daneis came to Advent to assist clients with complete portfolio management. Daneis focuses his practice on technology licenses and agreements, trademark and copyright drafting and prosecution, and other business law matters. He has a Juris Doctor from Creighton University and a Master in Political Science from University of Nebraska at Omaha. When he is not aiding clients, Daneis is working towards obtaining both an electrical engineering degree and a Masters in Law degree.

Andrea Rodriguez, Technology Advisor

Andrea joins the Advent team after two years of working on the patent search team for a major European IP law firm, where she supervised the mechanical patents and design search team. At Advent she will be working closely with our Attorneys on patent drafting and prosecution, as well as patent search and analysis. She is preparing to take the Patent Bar this year and officially become a patent agent. Andrea has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a mechanical concentration from John Brown University.
