Wacky Patent: Substance Dispensing Headgear
With football season in full swing, we may see fans going the extra mile to have fun and celebrate their team’s victories or grieve their losses. Crazy headgear is just a part of the football season’s festivities, and for many, so is a cold beer. Randall Flann knew this.
Flann invented the perfect hat to watch sports and enjoy a cold drink without having to get up to the fridge on every commercial break. His substance dispensing headgear invented in 1998 could look like a real beer barrel, complete with a spigot and tap. Other embodiments of the headgear comprised ball-shaped containers decorated with a variety of sports gear like bats, baskets, and rackets for different sports, such as baseball, basketball and tennis.
If you’re a sports aficionado and don’t mind wearing a big beverage barrel around your head for the entirety of a game, you may find the substance dispensing headgear to be a fun way of enjoying the friendly competition with friends and catch a few curious looks at the stadium. The person seating behind you may not find it so funny, however.
